What to put on a cleaning estimate
List what a standard clean includes
Kitchen, bathrooms, floors and dusting, and which things count as extras, such as inside the oven or windows. Most disagreements start with different ideas of what clean means.
Say how often and for how long
"Weekly, about 3 hours" or "One-off deep clean". An estimate for a regular client should say the schedule the price assumes.
Note what could change the price
Pets, clutter, or a home nobody has cleaned in a long time. Put it in the Notes box and agree it before you start.
Line items cleaning businesses often use
- Standard home cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Move-out cleaning
- Recurring weekly cleaning
- Oven cleaning
- Fridge cleaning
- Window cleaning
- Extra hour
Tired of rebuilding the same estimate?
Your customer accepts the cleaning estimate (a quote in Koteshen) with a click, and for regular clients you can send the invoice on a schedule you set, so every visit is billed without you remembering (Basic plan and up).

Questions about cleaning service estimates
Should I quote by the hour or a flat price per clean?
Either. A flat price per visit is easier for the customer to approve, and hourly is fairer when the size of the job is unclear. Say which one the estimate uses.
Can I use one estimate for a regular client?
Yes. Use it to agree the first visit, and say in the Notes box how often you will come. After that, an invoice for each visit keeps the billing simple.
Do I charge sales tax on a cleaning estimate?
It depends on your state and on what is being sold. Check with your state's tax agency or your accountant. This generator doesn't calculate tax, so add it as its own line if you plan to charge it.
