Questions about estimates
Is this estimate template really free?
Yes. You can make as many estimates as you like, and download each one as a PDF.
What should an estimate include?
Your business name and contact details, who it's for, an estimate number, the date and how long the price holds, each line of work with its price, and the total. Use Notes to say what's included, what isn't, and whether the price can change.
What's the difference between an estimate and a quote?
Many businesses use the words differently. An estimate is usually an approximate price and a quote a fixed one. Whatever you call it, say in the Notes whether the price can change, and check your state's rules for your trade.
What's the difference between this and Koteshen?
This makes one PDF at a time. In Koteshen (where it's called a quote) you email the estimate, your customer accepts it online with a click, you can ask for a deposit when they do (Basic plan and up), and you can turn it into an invoice. It's free for 14 days with no card.
