What to put on a fencing estimate
Give the footage, the height and the style
"140 linear feet, 6 ft cedar privacy fence" gives the product and the amount in one line, and it is the figure to check if the customer disputes a measurement.
Say who confirms the property line
Write in the Notes box whether the customer marked the line or you were given a survey. It settles a lot later.
List gates, posts and removal
Gate hardware, extra posts and taking down the old fence are separate work. If they are not in the price, say so.

Do I handle the permit for a fence?
Some places require a permit or have rules on height and placement. Use the Notes box to say who arranges it, and check with your local authority.
What if the ground is harder than expected?
Rock, roots and buried pipes can slow the job. Say in the Notes box what could change the price and that you will tell the customer first.
Do I charge sales tax on a fencing estimate?
It depends on your state and on whether you are selling labor, materials or both. Check with your state's tax agency or your accountant. This generator doesn't calculate tax, so add it as its own line if you plan to charge it.
